It is meant to do nothing else, just simple top ten headlines form the feeds you give it. It can hold lots feeds, but I wouldn't like to see the load times on huge lists. This app may need the vb runtimes. I have not included these as most people have them, making the download small. The reason I have used certain external Active X files like dhtmled.ocx is to reduce the footprint in the memory. WIth this it takes about 3 to 4 mb Using the ms Webbrowser control it leaps to 29mb, but looks and works exactly the same!! Any comments or bugs email me at andrzej@fuzzyd.co.uk Instructions 1. Extract the file rssReader.exe to any folder...it must have write access. 2. Run rssReader.exe 3. It will write a file called rss_feeds.xml 4. Right click on the new task bar icon to get the menu. (Again to make the reader as simple as possible i have removed menus from the main form) 5. Use the feed manager to add and remove feeds and change your display settings. a.Feeds will display in the order they are in the manager window. b.Move feed order up and down with the up and down buttons :) c.Click a feed, now you can change the link and the number of articles, press edit to make the change d.Import OPML file. During import any problems and the duck will write an error log. 6. Use the display settings to change the display settings :) 7. Refresh Time is in minutes 8. Roll you mouse over the task try icon and it will give you the latest headline from the first feed. 9. Right click in the feed menu to get a jump to feed menu. Click the feed you want to jump to Thats it. ToDo Fix anythig you guys tell me is wrong!! Andrzej Marczewski
